An excellent modern ( built 2000) country house/cortijo, with 3 bedrooms, on a large piece of land with an outhouse and stables. The finca is located on the southern slopes of the Alpujarra litoral at an altitude of 730 m and is reached from the A 4131 ( the road from Orgiva to the Contaviesa) by 4 km of asphalted road (which continues on past the hamlet of Olias, down to the coast as a dirt track) and finally by 1 km of good track.
The house has 130 m2 built and consists of two living rooms, one with an open plan kitchen at one end and a very good wood burning fireplace at the other, four bedrooms, a bathroom and a shower room. One part of the house, consisting of the smaller living room, a bedroom and a shower room, is an annexe that has separate access to the covered terrace in front of and on one side of the house and which can be closed off from the rest of the house and used as separate accommodation. Most of the rooms have wall mounted heating/air conditioning units. The house is connected to mains electricity ( 3.5 kW). Water for domestic use and for irrigation is supplied by springs on the land.
A short distance from the house is a large (5m by 16 m) building used for storage, and a little further away is a two storey building built as stables with hayloft. Adjacent is a water storage deposit.
The land is 3.8 Ha of south facing land, hillside and gently sloping, classified as
1 Ha of dry almond land, 1 Ha of dry olive land, 1.2 Ha of scrubland, and 0.6 Ha of pasture. There are mountain oaks and many types of frruit tree. Water for domestic use and irrigation comes from two springs on the land, which are registered with the Federacion Hidrografica (one is shared with a neighbouring plot). Water is stored in a large alberca ( water reservoir) located at the upper edge of the land.
There is an adjacent plot of land, of 8.6 Ha, also available for purchase.
This is a remarkable finca, and ideal for someone wanting peace, beauty and solitude, but with good access to urban centres ( Orgiva 18 km, Granada 80 km) and the coast ( 25 km).
